The Cyto-histological Studies on the Erosion of the Uterine Portio in the Screening Test

Abstract
|
|
|
Author observed 1, 1257cases of outpatient between Oct. 11th 1959 to Aug. 31st 1960 at Department of Ob. R Gy. of Pusan National University Hospital. and made conclusion as follows through screening test of uterine portio and observing exfoliative cytological studies.
1. Percentage of erosion of uterine portio for total outpatient is 45.33 per cent and in multipara showed 80.17 per cent.
2. Age of erosion of uterine portio is 31-35 (25.09 per cent), 26-30 (23.14 per cent), 36-40 (16.86 per cent), beyond this range, the ratio of erosion of uterine portio were declined progressively.
3. In error between clinical diagnosis and cytological diagnosis, pseudonegative patient (cytological) showed doubtful or positive (clinical) in 20.63 per cent and pseudo-positive patient, 3.48 per cent.
4. Age of cytological doubtful or positive showed 36-40 (18.39 per cent), 31-35 (14.94 per cent), 21-25 (13.79 per cent), After 50 year-old patient, has increasing tendency to show higher ratio of positive with increasing older ages.
5. In pregnant cases, doubtful or positive is 0.42 per cent cytologically.
6. In erosion of uterine portio, primipara showed 23.88 per cent and multipara, 50.66 per cent and in the later cases, 14 per cent showed dubtful or positive cytologically.
7. In compare with cytological diagnosis and histological diagnosis, false positive is 5.5 per cent and false negative is 10.14 per cent.
